How we make money
The guides and the newsletter are free. We plan to sell one sponsor slot per newsletter issue. Nothing is on sale today.
How ads are labeled
Every ad says Advertisement above it, inside a border. We use that same word everywhere. Examples on this site are labeled "Advertisement (example, not sold)".
What sponsors can never buy
- A guide, a place inside a guide, or a guide about their product.
- Guide wording, rankings or test labels.
- A good review.
Paid links and free tools
There are no paid or affiliate links on HourSaved today. If we ever add one, it will say "paid link" right next to the link. If a company gives us a tool or account for free to test, the guide will say so.
Time estimates and test labels
Time figures are our estimates. "Run once on made-up data" means one run on a made-up business, not proof. See how we test.
